When we first started Woohoo we didn’t actually realise the impact that one little (getting bigger!) brand could have on the environment, but with growth comes a lot of responsibility, and that's not something we take lightly. We don’t actually talk about this much, but we’re a member of a really cool organisation called 1% For The Planet. So today we’re going to shout about it from the rafters. 

There’s some pretty heavy stuff going down right now so we wanted to take some time to share some good news and some not-so-good news. Things in the Aussie recycling world aren’t all rosy at the moment. We don’t actually have the facilities in Australia to recycle a lot of the plastics that we’re using, and right now we don’t really have anyone to recycle them for us either.

Back in the ol’ days, men were often pressured to aspire to a certain male archetype. The wage earning, strong, stoic hunter/gatherer kind of lad. Always in control, always succeeding, always reaching for more, never truly able to express his emotions or be vulnerable. You know the one *looking at you, Don Draper*.

It occurred to us the other day that we’ve never really given you a peek into the everyday going-ons of our Happy HQ (where all the magic happens!). Though it’s nowhere near as glamorous as people might think it is, we thought it might be a bit fun to walk you through a typical day.

Given most of us are in a perpetual state of distraction thanks to social media and our smartphones (and funny memes… and MAFS...!), it’s no  wonder the Slow Food and Slow Living Movement exist. Now without further ado we’d like you to meet our most trusted friend of all… the Slow Beauty movement.

Over here at the Happy Shed we’ve been doing some asking around, and found out that only about 1 in 5 people use a tonic or toner (they’re the same thing by the way). We’re complete tonic devotees so we were totally surprised by this. Are you on the tonic bandwagon? (If you’re not, read on, these tonics are good stuff!).

Has your fur baby had a spring in their step this month? Or maybe you’ve noticed them sleeping a little better? You can hardly blame them after the news they’ve had. In case you haven’t heard, there has been a massive development in the fight against animal testing in Australia. Yay us!

There’s a whole gamut of shave products out there on the supermarket shelf, so you could be forgiven for being just a tad confused. Maybe you wanted to try something new but all the choices made you swoon so you ended up just chucking the usual Brut in your trolley.

It’s Step #1 in our skincare routine - cleanse. Not rocket science. Agreed? Actually…. there’s more to cleansing than you might realise. And if you’re doing it wrong then you run the risk of the rest of your routine not being as effective as it could be.

The thing is, we don’t believe in a one-size-fits-all serum. A serum is where you get a chance to deliver an absolute bucket load of active and beneficial ingredients to your skin. Since your skin is unique, you need a serum that helps your unique skin concerns.
